Like Search search which is now powered by Gemini 3.5, Ask YouTube also uses AI to find the videos that users want. YouTube's search box understands questions in common language as well as longer context. Videos that are deemed relevant will be listed by Ask YouTube.
After that, follow-up questions can be asked continuously to further refine the video search that meets the user's needs. Ask YouTube is now activated for YouTube Premium users aged 18 and above in the United States first.
