Graphics cards with LCD screens have been around for several years, originally displaying information about the GPU before later being offered with the feature of displaying animations chosen by the owner.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Gamers (ROG), the ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 graphics card was launched at Computex, the first to come with a curved OLED screen. It wants to allow it to display 3D-like visuals as used in several buildings around Kuala Lumpur.
This graphics card is so thick that it requires 4.7 slots on the PC. It is also equipped with four cooling fans, copper cooling pipes, a smoke chamber and uses liquid metal to help cool it during operation. With a speed of 2,760 MHz, it is also around 5.7% faster than the regular Astral model. It is still equipped with 32GB GDDR7 RAM, 2x HDMI 2.1b, 3x DisplayPort 2.1b and the Aura RGB lighting system.
The body of the card is black with gold trim indicating it is a special anniversary edition. For now the selling price of the ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 has not been announced.
