Steam Machine and Frame to Go on Sale as Early as July

Valve announced this morning that the Steam Machine console and Steam Frame headset will go on sale this summer. There is no firm date for when they will go on sale, but summer officially starts in July. The launch of both devices has been delayed several times due to a RAM component crisis and Valve has reportedly been unable to set a selling price for the same reason. The announcement has been made but Valve has not yet announced the selling price of the Steam Machine and Frame.

The Steam Machine is equipped with an AMD Zen 4 6C / 12T chip with speeds up to 4.8 GHz, an AMD RDNA3 GPU with 28CU and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 16GB of DDR5 memory and up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage. Storage can be expanded using a microSD card. According to Valve, this new generation Steam Machine is six times more powerful than the Steam Deck, allowing it to run AAA games at up to 8K 30p settings.

Meanwhile, the Steam Frame is equipped with dual LCD screens with a resolution of 2160 x 2160 pixels, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 16GB LPDDR5X memory, up to 1TB storage and a 21.6 Wh battery. Both of these Valve hardware use SteamOS 3.
