Tecno Pova 8 5G was launched in India with Alive Matrix Display, a backlit panel that offers up to 49 animations for calls, notifications, charging and games. The concept is similar to the Glyph Interface on the Nothing Phone, but Tecno chose a colorful style with sci-fi inspiration different from Nothing's minimalist approach.
Tecno Pova 8 5G comes with a 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD 144Hz screen, paired with a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chip with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. It uses HiOS 16 based on Android 16 with AI features such as YouTube Summary, Noise Cancellation, LightMaster 2.0, Live Photos to Instagram and AI Health in select markets. Tecno guarantees two years of major Android updates and three years of security updates.
The main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with 2x lossless zoom support while the selfie is 13MP. The device is equipped with an 8000mAh battery with 45W fast charging that can last up to two days. The 6GB + 128GB model is sold at Rs. 29,999 (approximately RM1,275) while the 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs. 31,999 (approximately RM1,360).
