Telegram Returns with Official App for Apple Watch

Telegram has introduced a native app for Apple Watch after years of discontinuing its original version. According to CEO Pavel Durov’s latest tweet on X, the app is back with a full experience built specifically for watchOS.

The new app supports text and voice messages, GIFs, videos, location, and stickers, while also allowing users to access all their conversations and contacts directly from their smartwatches. To log in, users simply need to scan a QR code via the Telegram app on their iPhone, just like they would on a computer or web browser.

If the account is protected with an additional password, users will need to enter their cloud password before they can access their contact list and conversations. After that, the experience will be even smoother as they can communicate using Telegram directly from their wrist without relying entirely on their iPhone.

Telegram previously supported the Apple Watch in June 2015, but support was discontinued a few years later and the app was removed from the App Store. Now it’s back with a more mature version that offers a full watchOS experience and new features to make it more comprehensive right from their wrist.
