Samsung smartphone users who are also Maybank bank customers can now update their devices to access MAE digital payment services through Samsung Wallet digital wallets via the Samsung Wallet QR Payment feature.
Samsung Malaysia and Maybank have signed a partnership agreement to enable the MAE Scan & Pay QR payment function to be used through the Samsung Wallet application. This collaboration sees Maybank as Samsung Malaysia’s first banking partner to introduce payment support using the QR scanning system on Samsung Wallet.
The MAE Scan & Pay function via Samsung Wallet has been introduced starting July 21, 2026, with users only needing to update the Samsung Wallet application to the latest version, and then load the MAE details to the digital wallet, and users can choose to pay using that option quickly and easily.
More interestingly, Samsung device users can also use the QR Scan & Pay payment function via Samsung Wallet in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Cambodia without having to worry about digital payment support between these countries.
Using the MAE Scan & Pay service via Samsung Wallet will also give users Samsung Reward points on every transaction, and this allows you to purchase various attractive gifts using these points.
