Roblox Build Introduced – Generate AI-Powered Games Directly from Your Device

Roblox is introducing a new Build feature, a mobile-based game creation function powered by AI technology. Through it, users can create games directly from their device without the need for programming experience.

For example, when a user types in instructions for a casual adventure game, the system will automatically generate a complete base version of the game. The generated output includes functional game mechanics, a descriptive environment, playable characters, and relevant sound effects to support the overall gameplay experience.

The new feature uses a combination of open AI models with Roblox-specific models specifically trained on game data and 3D models. The feature is also integrated with the desktop version of Roblox Studio to allow users to start a project on their phone before continuing development with more advanced additional functions on their computer.

Roblox is also introducing several additional functions aimed at improving the experience. Among them are the Game Inspector System that works to detect bugs before a game is launched, the Analytics Assistant that helps creators understand game data in easy-to-understand language, and the Experiment Module that provides testing suggestions to improve player engagement.

In addition, Roblox also provides an automatic generation system that can produce complete 3D objects only through text or image instructions. With this system, the development process becomes more efficient because creators no longer need to build each element manually.

Initial testing will begin on July 28, 2026 in New Zealand and will be expanded to more countries in stages. Users as young as 9 are allowed to test Build while published games can only be accessed by users aged 16 and above after going through a safety review process.
