A consortium including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is reportedly in talks to buy a third of the stake in popular football club Liverpool FC. An announcement is said to be made as early as this week.
In addition to Jeff Bezos, the consortium is also said to include Eduardo Saverin, one of the early founders of Facebook.
Liverpool FC is said to be worth around $6 billion, and the consortium is expected to acquire a stake of around 30%. With the participation of billionaires and millionaires in the club, it is expected to provide greater financial access to the club.
Jeff Bezos' investment is expected to be made in a personal capacity, and may not be related to the integration with Prime Video and others at this time.
