Google's Googlebook laptop will be officially launched on September 15 in New York. This is a new generation laptop that uses the Aluminum OS operating system that combines Chrome OS and Android as announced at Google I/O last May. Googlebook will be released by ASUS, Acer, Dell, Lenovo and HP.
No information about the specifications was shared but it is confirmed that Googlebook has a new Magic Pointer feature. When the "pointer" arrow is shaken, it will launch a feature similar to Circle to Search. Googlebook users can search for images displayed on the screen or generate images of them all using the power of Gemini's artificial intelligence (AI).
Users can also have Gemini create special widgets for specific needs. Android applications on the phone can be opened directly on Googlebook without having to install them first using the Google Cast feature.
On the cover is a light bar that provides an indicator that Googlebook owners can still call Gemini without having to open the cover first.
