Japan was the first country to use robots in industry in the 1960s. This allowed Japan to become Asia's most advanced economy in the 1980s. Now Japan has used robots to replace human labor due to the declining number of young people.
Recently, the company GMO AI & Robotics Corp announced that they will start offering ambulance services specifically for humanoid robots. When customers report issues with their robots, this ambulance will be sent to pick up and then repair the issues faced by the robots. Various equipment needed to repair the robots is also placed in this ambulance.
GMO's humanoid robots have been used as cargo handlers for Japan Airlines since May. This is among Japan's efforts to integrate humanoid robots into daily activities. In addition to the GMO robots, Unitree robots are also being used in tests that will be conducted until 2028.
