There have been several recent movies that tell the story of business founders, especially involving technology companies. One of the upcoming movies is a movie titled “Artificial”.
The movie focuses on the character of Sam Altman (played by Andrew Garfield), and takes place around the scandal of the firing of the CEO of OpenAI, who was later reinstated a few days later. After that, a number of employees have left the company.
The movie was supposed to be distributed by Amazon MGM, but it was canceled. Some speculations say that this cancellation was due to Amazon’s investment of $50 billion in OpenAI. However, this matter cannot be confirmed. According to reports, a number of distributors have also seen the movie, and found the story not very strong, until now it is distributed by Neon.
The movie is scheduled to be released at the end of 2026. It is not yet known whether it will enter the Malaysian market or not.
