The trend of wide folding phones will be continued by Xiaomi through the introduction of a new model known as the Xiaomi Fold 18. This device is officially displayed on the Xiaomi China website with a full design that shows a compact shape when folded that resembles a passport with curved sides.
When fully opened, the Xiaomi Fold 18 transforms into a larger display that almost resembles a tablet. The screen comes with a symmetrical design, thus providing a more immersive display experience for watching videos or productivity tasks.
The back of the device is equipped with a fairly thick horizontal bar-shaped camera module with several large lenses. The Leica logo is also displayed, indicating a strategic collaboration in Xiaomi's premium camera system.
So far, no full specifications have been shared for the Xiaomi Fold 18. Further details are expected to be announced at the official launch event in China on September 7, 2026.
