Apple Introduces New iPad Mini with OLED Screen – Prices Start from RM2,999

Apple has officially unveiled the new generation of the iPad Mini, which now features an upgraded display: an OLED screen. Along with this new display panel, the iPad Mini has grown slightly in size, now sporting an 8.5-inch screen, with an optional nano-texture glass finish.

Powering this compact tablet is the latest A20 Pro chip. It includes support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and carries an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Apple states that it delivers higher performance and faster network connectivity compared to the previous generation—optimized, in part, to handle AI-based tasks and applications.

The new iPad Mini is available in three different A20 Pro chip configurations. The 128GB and 256GB models feature a chip with a 5-core CPU, 7-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. The 512GB model comes with a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU, and dual 16-core Neural Engines.

The tablet also includes a 12MP front-facing camera with Center Stage. The new iPad Mini comes pre-installed with iPadOS 27. Note that AI-powered Siri features are not yet enabled for users in Malaysia. The tablet also supports input via the Apple Pencil.

In Malaysia, the new iPad Mini will be available for pre-order starting October 29, with sales beginning on November 6, 2026. Unlike some other Apple models, the iPad Mini starts with a base storage capacity of 128GB. iPad Mini 128GB Wi-Fi – RM2999
