ColorOS 17 Launched for Global Oppo Devices

Oppo today launched its new ColorOS 17 interface for global users. The system debuts on the Find X10 series before rolling out gradually to other devices. Built on Android 17, it features advanced AI capabilities and faster performance for a smoother user experience.

With ColorOS 17, Oppo introduces a new design concept called "Fluid Design." It emphasizes a soothing visual experience through "Luminous Effect," smooth animations via "Fluid Motion," and a responsive user experience through "Flexible Feedback." This approach ensures visual, animation, and touch-response consistency across the entire system. Based on "Living Flow Design," users will enjoy a more consistent and cohesive experience.

Unified Rendering Architecture

ColorOS 17 also features a "Unified Rendering Architecture" capable of reducing graphics workloads by up to 30% and RAM usage by up to 25%. The new "Laminar Flow" engine enhances app stability, increasing smoothness by 55% and speeding up image previews by up to 50%. Multitasking capabilities have also been improved, allowing up to 25% more apps to remain active in the background.

Additionally, Oppo has focused on new AI features in ColorOS 17. "AI Mind Pilot" acts as an intelligent agent that manages files and photos while generating detailed information, such as itineraries or web content. "AI Photo Agent" allows users to edit photos based on reference styles or natural language commands.

Meanwhile, "AI Mind Space" and "Memory Collections" provide a personal information hub with automated collections, while "AI Mind Suggest" offers smart recommendations such as daily summaries, travel updates, and music suggestions. Meanwhile, OSee arrives as an image-based AI capable of identifying objects, analyzing food content, performing HD scans, and providing real-time translations.

Oppo is also collaborating with Manus to enhance AI capabilities within ColorOS 17. Powered by Manus technology, the system goes beyond merely answering questions; it acts as an intelligent agent capable of managing files, organizing documents, generating itineraries, and automatically editing photos. This partnership makes the interface's AI more comprehensive, as it is designed not just for conversation but to assist in completing daily tasks more efficiently.

AI Call Guard

ColorOS 17 also prioritizes security by introducing Private Computing Cloud, featuring end-to-end protection and post-quantum technology to safeguard user data. A Transparency Report allows users to monitor how their data is processed, while AI Call Guard serves as a safeguard against fraud involving synthetic voices or face-swapping techniques.
