Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) will broadcast the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia for free. This F1 race marks the first time such an event has taken place in Malaysia since 2017. It serves as a replacement for the race originally scheduled to be held in Bahrain last April, which was cancelled due to the conflict between the United States and Iran.
RTM was selected as the broadcaster in Malaysia to allow the excitement of the race to be shared collectively and to give people across the country the opportunity to experience the thrill of a world-class race at the Sepang International Circuit.
The broadcast can be viewed via the TVOkey channel on RTMKLIK, starting today with the practice sessions. The qualifying session can be watched tomorrow at 4:00 PM, while the race takes place on Sunday starting at 3:00 PM.
This year's race is highly anticipated by local F1 fans who have long yearned to witness a race on home soil. It is also viewed as a "home race" for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team.
