Insta360 has unveiled a new wireless microphone, the Insta360 Mic, positioned between the Mic Air and Mic Pro in its audio product lineup. A key feature is its E-Ink screen, which can display user-selected images—such as logos, graphics, or other visuals.
It also includes a microSD slot, allowing audio to be recorded directly onto the microphone as a backup. This ensures that recordings remain intact even if the connection between the microphone and the recording device is interrupted. Furthermore, support for 32-bit float recording helps prevent audio clipping—whether the input is too loud or too quiet—while AI Noise Canceling reduces ambient noise for clearer voice capture.
The Insta360 Mic supports up to four transmitters paired with a single receiver, making it ideal for podcasts, interviews, or content involving multiple participants. Notably, transmitters from both the Insta360 Mic and Mic Pro can be used simultaneously with the same receiver. In terms of battery life, each transmitter offers up to 13 hours of operation, with the included charging case extending the total usage time to 34 hours.
Additionally, the device features "Direct Connect," which allows the microphone to link directly to select Insta360 cameras via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for an external receiver. At present, Insta360 has not yet announced the official retail price for the Malaysian market.
