Earlier this year, ASUS introduced an update to its handheld PC gaming console—the ASUS ROG Ally X20—alongside a bundle featuring numerous accessories designed to maximize the user experience.
The most significant upgrade in this model is the switch from the 7-inch LCD screen found in the two previous models to a 7.4-inch OLED display. This results in a brighter screen that meets DisplayHDR TrueBlack 1000 standards and supports Dolby Vision.
Additionally, the console's casing is now slightly translucent, allowing internal components to be seen. Other major improvements include analog control sticks equipped with TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sensors—resolving "stick drift" issues—and redesigned face buttons for improved comfort. The D-Pad can now be toggled between 4-way and 8-way modes by rotating it 90 degrees. Finally, the Xbox button now illuminates with a green light.
The bundle includes not only the gaming console but also a Pelican Protector Case, ROG XREAL Air 2 glasses, and a DBrand Killswitch case with several special decals.
ASUS Malaysia has announced that pre-orders for the ASUS ROG Ally X20 bundle open today, October 2, 2026, at 8:00 PM, priced at RM10,999. The company confirmed that the bundle is limited to just 30 units for the local market. Pre-orders can be placed via the ASUS Malaysia Store website. Pre-orders run from October 2 to October 15, and those who pre-order the console will also receive bonus gifts.
We also inquired whether the console would be available on its own—without the limited-edition bundle—but it is currently unknown whether such an option will be offered.
