5 Useful WhatsApp Tips for iPhone Owners

WhatsApp is one of the most used applications for iPhone users. Ease of use makes this Facebook -owned app the top choice for communicating with family, friends and businesses.
So, if you are using this messaging app, here are 5 useful WhatsApp tips to maximize its capabilities:

1. Lock WhatsApp with Face ID or Touch ID

Often friends or family borrow an iPhone, whether to take pictures, play games or access media. If your WhatsApp doesn’t want to be opened, either intentionally or not, it’s a good idea to activate the test function with Face ID or Touch ID.

To set it up, here are the steps:

- Open WhatsApp

- Tap Settings

- Select Account

- Press Privacy

- Select Screen Lock

- On Require Face ID / Touch ID, slide the switch right to activate

- Then you just need to select the available duration options

2. Mute Group Chat

Annoyed by the many notifications from WhatsApp chat groups that are so active? Take a break now because you can ‘reveal’ group chats on WhatsApp.

The method is simple, you just have to slide to the left of the conversation you want to mute. Press the three dot icon (More) and select the Mute option, followed by its duration. If you do not want to be interrupted forever, select Always.

3. Hide Last Seen on WhatsApp

Don’t want anyone to see or know when was the last time you opened WhatsApp? Just hide it, here's how:

- Tap Settings

- Press Account

- Select Privacy

- Tap Last Viewed

- Select an existing option. If you want to connect, select My Contacts. If you do not want everyone to know, press the No one option

4. Hide Message Content in Notifications

WhatsApp notifications display a brief overview of the content of the message. If you don’t want others to read it while on screen, maybe hide it. So the notification will only display the sender's name.

The method is as follows:

- Open Settings

- Select Notifications

- In the Show Preview option, slide the button to the left

5. Free up storage space

Without realizing it, the content of WhatsApp messages often consumes iPhone storage space. To enlarge there is an easy way.

- Open Settings

- Select Storage and Data

- Press Manage Storage

WhatsApp will display files larger than 5 MB. Select and delete content you don't need to keep.

You can also view content based on conversations. Just select the chat whose content you want to delete. Then select and delete the content you do not want to save.
