AirTag Helps Police Find Stolen Bicycles

When Apple first launched AirTag, this product was used to make it easier for users to track and find personal items, such as key chains, or wallets that are often lost or hidden.
Not only that, AirTag can also be used to track stolen items. Like a report from Gadget Lite where a stolen bike was found thanks to the use of AirTag.

Gene Gorter reported that his bicycle was stolen during the night in Boston, USA on July 4th.

He then provided the AirTag tracking information to Boston Police, who tracked down the accessory and found it in a trash can near the stolen bike.

The police then texted Gorten's location with a photo of the stolen bike, and he immediately took the bike home after collecting it from the authorities.

So far no arrests have been made because according to the police, they have not found the person responsible for the theft, but at least Gorten managed to get his bike back.
