With the WhatsApp application, users are given several capabilities to communicate, from sending text messages, pictures to documents and voicemails aka voice notes.
In WhatsApp there is a feature where we can find out whether the message sent has been read or not which is marked with a blue check mark (read receipt). Users can turn off this feature for text messages until there is no blue mark even after it has been read.
Unfortunately this feature only applies to text messaging, WhatsApp is known not to allow to turn off this feature on voice messages.
Of course this is annoying because usually a lot of users want to just hear it first without having to reply to it right away.
Well, here are some ways and tips for you who want to listen to voice notes on WhatsApp without being noticed or without being marked with a blue check mark.
1. Use Airplane Mode
By activating airplane mode or airplane mode on your smartphone, you can listen to voice messages without being noticed. Make sure before activating airplane mode, you have downloaded WhatsApp voice notes into the mobile phone.
Once downloaded or saved, turn on airplane mode and you can listen to the contents of the voicemail without the sender’s knowledge.
It is known that airplane mode disconnects the internet connection, so WhatsApp cannot send a blue check mark. This step also applies to those of you who want to open a message without being noticed.
2. Use the Playback application
There are additional applications to be able to listen to voice notes without getting stuck, which is to download audio player applications such as VLC. With this application will save audio files on your phone.
Once installed, open the app and go to Folder> WhatsApp> Media> Voice Notes. In this folder, you will find all WhatsApp voice messages and if you listen to them from the application, the sender will not receive a notification that you have heard them.
3. Forwarding the Message
The latter method is considered quite simple and effective, which is to forward the voice message to another WhatsApp number. But of course this way, make sure you forward the message to someone you already trust, such as a friend.
Once the voice message is forwarded, you can hear the message on the phone that was sent, so the sender will not know if the message has been heard.
