There is still a story behind Elon Musk who currently lives in a rented house. The boss of SpaceX and Tesla, whose wealth is great, turns out to have no home at all.
Musk since the end of last year sold three of his luxury residences. Then he wrote on Twitter that he only owns one house in the Bay Area, California.
"The only house I own is in the Bay Area. If I sell it, it probably won't get much use, unless it's bought by a big family, which might happen one day," wrote Elon Musk.
It turns out that not long after, the man with a fortune of thousands of trillions admitted that he had also sold the house. "Decided to sell my last house. Just need a big family to live there. This place is special," he wrote on June 21.
Quoted from Forbes, his last home was in Hillsbrough, California. Described as an antique mansion, there are nine bedrooms and ten bathrooms. Elon Musk sold it for $37.5 million. He had bought the house in 2017 for USD 23.4 million.
Three other homes he sold were also located in California. Musk doesn't seem comfortable living there, even the new Tesla factory he's building in Texas. In Texas, Elon also admitted to living in a rented house.
The house in Texas is very small, like a box, created by a startup called Boxabl as an inexpensive modular living solution.
The size is about 6 x 6 meters. Coincidentally, the location is close to the SpaceX research center. Presumably, SpaceX rented it out as a residence for employees and apparently the CEO as well.
What remains a mystery is the whereabouts of his lover and Elon's children. From his previous wife, Elon has four children. Meanwhile, from her lover, the singer Grimes, she was blessed with a baby.
If you live with Elon Musk, it's definitely too cramped and uncomfortable. Maybe they live in another house, but there is no information about this yet.
