Facebook Prepares USD 1 Billion for Content Creators

Facebook prepared USD 1 billion worth of money for the creators. The funds will be distributed until the end of 2022
The money will be given to creators who use Facebook and Instagram apps. Therefore, creators will get a cash bonus if they run ads from videos made or have reached a certain limit during live streaming on Facebook.

Then on Instagram, creators will be paid if they activate ads on IGTV videos. Bonuses are also given when you do live streams and make popular videos on Reels.

However, for now, the bonus is still limited in availability where only creators who get an invitation from Facebook can accept it. However, Facebook has stated that it will expand to more creators by the end of the year.

This Facebook bonus program will be present on Instagram this summer, around June-September, this year. While on the Facebook app in the fall, around September-December.

“This initiative aims to make Facebook the best platform for millions of content creators to make a living,” said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO.

This payment is seen as an aggressive move by Facebook to entice creators to work on its platform.

But Facebook isn’t the only one using this strategy. Previously TikTok and Snapchat offered bonuses to creators for using their apps.
