Jeff Bezos will no longer be CEO of Amazon from Monday (5/7/2021). After his position was replaced by Andy Jassy, Bezos had a lot of free time to do other activities.
In announcing his retirement, Bezos said he would remain chief executive on Amazon's board of directors and would still be involved in key projects at the online storefront.
But he says he will have more time to focus on other projects such as the Blue Origin rocket company, the Washington Post newspaper, as well as the Bezos Earth Fund and the Amazon Day 1 Fund.
After resigning from Amazon, Bezos will undertake an ambitious project, which is a trip to space. He will be one of the passengers on Blue Origin's first manned mission into space, which will launch on July 20.
Bezos admits that flying into space is his lifelong dream. On this flight he will be accompanied by his brother Mark, senior female pilot Wally Funk, and the winner of the Blue Origin ticket auction that paid $ 28 million.
Bezos' life plans after Amazon can be seen from his posts on Instagram, including his desire to dominate Hollywood. Amazon itself has a film studio that distributes and produces many famous films.
At the Academy Awards and Golden Globes some time ago, Bezos showed off the number of nominations Amazon Studios received and won. A few months before Bezos stepped down, Amazon also annexed the studio that produced the James Bond film franchise, MGM.

Known as a less than generous billionaire, Bezos also highlights his charitable activities on Instagram. In his post, Bezos indicated he held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron about efforts to prevent climate change, and took Washington Governor Jay Inslee on a tour of a homeless shelter.
Bezos will also have more free time to relax on the super luxury yacht he just bought. This cruise ship worth Rp 7 trillion is said to be the size of a rugby field, and even has a helicopter and escort ship.
