Fight TikTok, YouTube Shorts Present in 100 Countries

Having been released on a limited basis in India at the end of last year, and still in beta for US territories in early 2021, now Short, which is an app platform like TikTok made by YouTube, has been present in 100 countries. This has been officially announced by Google.
With the launch of Shorts, users will be able to see the tool to become a creator of Shorts where previously they could only see it. Users will be able to create and record short videos of up to 60 seconds.

“With two billion monthly users, our label partners and publishers see huge potential in Shorts for artists, singers and artists to expand their fan reach and engage in real time,” said YouTube’s Head of Global Music, Lyor Cohen.

"With this exciting new service, creators and fans will be able to directly express their ingenuity and passion by interacting with global music artists and the music they love." he continued.

Meanwhile Google also ensures partnerships with music labels and singers will get fair compensation for the use of music in short videos on Shorts.
