Netflix is reportedly developing a new Pokemon Live-Action series. However, because the project is still in its early stages, not much information has been released.
However, according to the Variety website, an unnamed source says that the live-action Pokemon project will be written exclusively by Joe Henderson.

Henderson himself is currently serving as a co -actor and executive producer on the popular Netflix series ‘Lucifer’ which will be ready to air in its sixth season.

Sources also say that the project will be a live -action series similar to the film ‘Detective Pikachu’ starring actors Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith released in 2019.

Unfortunately, there has been no official response from Netflix or Henderson on the matter.

The Netflix move evolved into a Live-action Pokemon series when the streamer made it home to several existing Pokemon shows including ‘Pokemon: Indigo League’ and ‘Pokemon Journeys’.

Netflix has also made it into the anime category in recent years after previously announcing original series based on 'Far Cry,' 'Splinter Cell,' and 'Terminator.'

Netflix is also moving on to more live-adaptation of anime titles, including the upcoming live-action shows ‘Cowboy Bebop’ and ‘One Piece’. Streamer previously launched the live-action film ‘Death Note’ in 2017.
