In celebration of World Emoji Day on July 17, Facebook released a new emoji with voice on its messenger service called Soundmoji.
Facebook says Soundmoji is the next level of emoji that allows users to send short sound clips in chats on Messenger, ranging from clapping, cricket, drumming and evil laughter, to audio clips.
So far there are 27 Soundmoji. In the future, the company created by Mark Zuckerberg promises to increase the volume of Soundmoji.
"Every day, people send more than 2.4 billion messages with emojis on Messenger. Emojis add color and spirit to Messenger chats around the world and we rely on them to say what can't be said with words," said Loredana Crisan, VP Order Products, Messenger.
"Now imagine if your emojis could speak, what sound would they make? Introducing Messenger's latest expression tool - Soundmoji," he added.
To use Soundmoji, users can head to the Messenger app, start a chat, tap the smiling face icon to open the expression menu and select the speaker icon.
