Spotify and TikTok collaborate to Offer Free Premium Services

As part of the new partnership between TikTok and Spotify, selected eligible TikTok users will receive a free trial of the Spotify Premium service. However, this offer does not apply in all countries.
As a form of promotion, the service offering is complemented by music streaming and short -term video sharing applications that will be launched in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and Turkey.

Spotify offers a free trial for three to four months. This free trial period varies by country and is only available to those over the age of 18 and have never subscribed to a premium before.

For those who qualify, TikTok users in these countries must receive a unique code that allows them to activate the offering service. They can access the unique code via the ‘for you’ and ‘find’ pages, on the profile icon in the morning ‘me’, or by searching for ‘Spoify’ on TikTok.

Commenting on the collaboration between the two media companies, TikTok’s Head of Growth, Europe David Nunez said TikTok was an immersive experience, with music as the core of how people create and engage with content on the platform.

“We are excited to bring this offer with Spotify Premium to our community, helping them get more fun out of the artists and tracks they already know on TikTok,” he said.

Spotify Vice President, Head of Global Premium Business Development Marc also said Spotify Connect artists and listeners in a way not possible before, building a diverse community of music fans driven by discovery and inspiration.

"We are proud to introduce TikTok's vibrant and growing user base with many premium Spotify advantages: millions of songs without ads, on demand and offline." he said.

The promotion was made about seven months after a partnership with TikTok and Apple Music where Apple also offered a four-month trial to TikTok iOS users for free.
