Say goodbye to Twitter Fleets. This function, which is similar to Instagram Stories, will be turned off by Twitter on Aug. 3 because it is rarely used by users.
Although the presence of Fleets around the world is less than a year. And the decision was taken after the company announced in June that the company was beginning testing ads on Fleets, a move that would help it monetize the post.
“We hope Fleets can help more people feel comfortable joining the conversation on Twitter,” said Ilya Brown, Head of Product, Brand Advertising & Video at the Twitter Blog.
"But since we introduced Fleets to everyone, we haven't seen an increase in the number of new people joining conversations with Fleets as we expected."
For years, Twitter struggled to find new users who took notes on a regular basis and didn’t just use other people’s tweets. They are trying to introduce Fleets in November 2020.
This function allows Twitter users to post full -screen photos, videos, reactions to tweets or plain text that disappear after 24 hours, a format created by Snap Inc, and then copied and popularized again by Instagram.

Even if ArFleets mada is turned off, some of their abilities will remain alive. “Soon, we will be testing the composer and camera updates to include features from Fleet - such as a full -screen camera, text formatting options, and GIF stickers,” Twitter said.
“We will find more ways to address what is preventing people from participating on Twitter,” the company added. "And for those of us who are already tweeting, we're focused on making it better for you."
