Windows 11 managed to run on Xiaomi and OnePlus phone

Not long ago an engineering student named Gustavo Monce successfully installed Windows 11 on the Nokia Lumia 950 XL. Microsoft's latest operating system has been successfully implemented on Xiaomi and OnePlus mobile phones.
Xilin Wu, the developer behind the Renegade project, says he has successfully installed and runs Windows 11 for the ARM64 chip on the Snapdragon 845 and Snapdragon 855 smartphone.

To run Windows 11 on Android phones, Renegade's project developers create their own tools and drivers, and activate UEFI on Snapdragon 845. In the video they publish, they show how the installation process is carried out.

The Renegade team uses the OnePlus 6T running Windows 10. Then continue Windows 11 preview flash for the ARM chip.

Although the installation process took a long time, the OnePlus 6T eventually managed to boot Windows 11. Only most of the Windows 11 features were unusable, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and speaker audio.

The problem is what Gustavo Monce has experienced. After installing Windows 11 on the Lumia 950 XL, there are several features of the phone that cannot work as usual, such as cameras, SMS and battery reduction.

Although the new interface and feature on Windows 11 can be featured, such as taskbar, new start menu, and even snap layout.

To bring Windows 11 to Windows Phone, Monse and his team move and flip the existing driver. Because they previously worked on Windows 10 and Windows 10x for Lumia, their work became easier.

Monce and his team also created a special website for their projects containing tools, guides and documentation to bring Windows 10 and Windows 11 to the old Windows Phone.
