While exploring new ways to support consumers, we didn’t hesitate to explore areas we had never explored before. We continue to improve that category with our second -generation folders, the Galaxy Z Fold2 and Galaxy Z Flip, with larger screens and many more features that you now know and love. I am proud to say that the third generation of our folding devices will provide incredible new multitasking capabilities and improved durability for use by more people around the world.
Samsung Brings More Consumers to the Fold
This becomes increasingly important as the world moves into a new era of connectivity that demands an open ecosystem and a reliable mobile experience. At Samsung, ‘open’ and ‘secure’ are never mutually exclusive. In fact, our collaboration with trusted industry leaders like Google and Microsoft is why we are able to deliver secure and optimized mobile technology to survive in an interconnected and fast -growing world. We constantly work with our key partners to provide state -of -the -art security solutions to provide optimal security for user devices and data. This allows our users to control every app, data and privacy so they can organize their own experience - with a sense of security.
Collaboration allows us to create a mobile experience that makes your life better and easier. This has prompted the development of a unified platform for Samsung’s latest wearable Powered OS, which we co -produced with Google. Aside from Galaxy users ’favorite apps like Samsung Health and SmartThings, there will be many more in the new Google Play Store. Furthermore, our One UI Watch user interface integrates seamlessly with our other Galaxy devices and provides a consistent connectivity between Galaxy Watch and Galaxy smartphones.
At the Unpacked event in August last year, I shared my strategy for delivering mobile technology that can empower people, especially when they desperately need it. Now, after a year, our world is slowing down but definitely getting ready to open up in many ways. We all miss the freedom and opportunities this new world has to offer, thanks to technological advances that have made the world bigger than ever.
In the past year, new technologies have continued to change the way we live our lives. Our collaboration with trusted industry partners gives Samsung the ability to deliver a versatile experience with more personality. As we enter a new era of rapid transformation, I believe that an open ecosystem is the only way to accelerate innovation and give every consumer the freedom to create the best experience for their lifestyle.
We’re also working with Google to enrich the collapsible ecosystem with popular apps and services. For this third -generation Galaxy Z handset, we already have more app partners that can take full advantage of the versatile folding format. From hands -free video calls optimized with Google Duo, watching videos in Flex mode on Youtube to multitasking on Microsoft Teams, our folding ecosystem offers an optimized and seamless experience.
A New Sheet Of Smartphone Innovation Has Arrived
The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold will combine the best of smartphones and tablets and give you a new way to work, connect and create. Meanwhile, the new Z Flip will feature a more elegant style, backed by stronger and more durable materials. I am confident this device can answer the challenges of versatile mobile technology that we need to take the journey that lies ahead of us.
We will set new standards and open up a future world full of exciting experiences for more people.
