Some time ago Netflix announced that it would enter the world of mobile gaming. Now they are starting to test mobile games that are integrated with the Netflix app and account.
The games being tested were 'Stranger Things: 1984' and 'Stranger Things 3'. Both games were previously available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, console and desktop.
The trial is currently limited to Android and is currently only available to Netflix users in Poland. Netflix said Poland was chosen as the test location because the country has an active mobile gaming ecosystem.
"It's still very, very early days and we'll be working hard to bring you the best experience over the next few months with our ad-free, no-in-app gaming approach," said a Netflix spokesperson. /8/2021).

Two Stranger Things games that Netflix has to offer will be featured in the main feed of its mobile app, along with a selection of available movies and series. Users can tap the game icon to read information about the game, and tap the button to download it.
After tapping the install button, the user will be directed to the Google Play Store to download the game. To play the game, users can tap the 'Play' button in the Netflix app or open it directly from the phone.
Although this game has previously been on the App Store and Play Store, Netflix said with this trial the two games will become exclusive games for Netflix users. This means that users who want to play the game must first log in with their Netflix account.
But users who have downloaded these two Stranger Things games from the App Store or Play Store will not be affected. They can still play the game as usual or even reinstall from their account library. Only new players should get this game from the Netflix app.
Netflix first announced its intention to dive into the world of gaming last July. They also brought in several former high-ranking officials from EA and Oculus to lead this new gaming division.
It is not yet known whether Netflix will roll out this mobile game service for customers outside Poland, or for other platforms.
