Last week, Apple officially unveiled its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. The device has already received a positive reception from users worldwide, particularly regarding its design and the interface implementation tailored for a foldable device.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is expected to continue focusing on this foldable phone series; we may eventually see more people using foldable phones than standard ones, as the large screen enables a wider range of tasks to be performed on the device.
Currently, the selling price remains high, starting at around RM10,000. However, as technology advances, the price may decrease somewhat. Furthermore, much like Samsung—which offers a variety of foldable phone models—Apple is expected to do the same with the iPhone Duo series.
Apple is expected to eventually introduce an iPhone Duo Max with a larger screen, an iPhone Duo SE at a more competitive price point, or perhaps use different naming conventions for these device variants. Regardless, it remains unclear how long it will take before these new models are introduced. Some analysts predict that Apple could soon lead the foldable phone market in terms of market share—a sector currently dominated by Samsung.
