Apple Fitness+ Comes to the market, Brings Pilates & Meditation Features

Apple is expanding its Fitness+ service to many countries. At the same time, a series of new features were also released to encourage users to be healthier.

By the end of this year, Apple plans to bring Fitness+ to 15 new countries, namely Austria, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. Fitness+ will be available in English with subtitles in six languages, so more people can experience workouts led by a diverse and inclusive team of coaches with a tailored approach for every body at every fitness level.

The new features that Apple offers are quite a lot. Ada Meditation offers a simple way to practice focus anywhere and anytime, and Pilates.

Most Fitness+ Pilates exercises can be performed on a mat alone, while some also incorporate the use of resistance bands. All Pilates exercises will be 10, 20, or 30 minutes long.

Apple's fitness service is also introducing a new program - Workouts to Get Ready for Snow Season - featuring and designed by two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time ski world champion Ted Ligety, in collaboration with Fitness+ trainer Anja Garcia. This program inspired by winter sports will help build strength, balance and endurance.

In the next few months, Fitness+ will introduce Group Workouts with SharePlay, where users can work out with up to 32 people at once to motivate each other.

"Whether you're just starting out, trying something new, or changing the way you train your mind and body, our team of Fitness+ trainers is ready to help users live a healthy lifestyle, no matter where they are," said Jay Blahnik, Apple's Senior Director of Fitness Technology.

"We're excited to introduce new workouts that give Fitness+ users more options to stay active and motivated, plus an immersive guided Meditation experience that everyone can approach and adapt easily to your day. With new ways to work out together or alone - and coming to more countries later this year - we can't wait to welcome more people to experience Fitness+."
