Netizens in China were busy protesting the opening of a Japanese-themed attraction park in Dalian City until it was finally closed. This protest is anti-Japanese sentiment.


The name of this tourist spot is Tang Little Kyoto, with a design in the style of old Kyoto in Japan. It is located in a strategic area of ​​Dalian City with a construction cost of more than USD 1.2 billion.

Netizens on Weibo social media were angry with the tourist location because it was considered insensitive given the traces of Japanese colonialism in China. Many people there are still not happy with Japan.

Some areas have been opened and there are about 29 shops operating in it. It seems that many visitors have come.

The Dalian region has been occupied twice by the Japanese, with the first occupation in 1894 leaving a history of massacres. Then recently, there was tension between China and Japan over the dispute over Taiwan and the South China Sea.
