Huawei has introduced the FreeBuds SE 5 Max as a new wireless earbud option for users in Malaysia. Despite being positioned in the affordable segment, the device incorporates several features typically found in more premium models.
Key features include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of up to 52dB, which helps reduce ambient noise for a more comfortable listening experience. The earbuds are equipped with a six-microphone system to ensure clearer voice call quality, even in noisy environments. Additionally, the FreeBuds SE 5 Max supports Hi-Res Audio and the LDAC codec, allowing for high-resolution audio playback on compatible devices.
The FreeBuds SE 5 Max offers up to 80 hours of total battery life with the charging case, or up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. They carry an IP55 rating for dust and water-splash resistance and support Dual-Device Connection, allowing them to be connected to two devices simultaneously. The earbuds are compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
While the standard retail price for the FreeBuds SE 5 Max is RM249, it is available at a promotional price of RM159 after a rebate. Sales in Malaysia will begin on November 3, 2026. Buyers will also receive complimentary gifts valued at up to RM39, including one year of Huawei Loss Care Service and a one-year APAC warranty. This offer includes a RM90 rebate, bringing the price down to the promotional rate of RM159.
