Huawei has introduced the Pura 90 Plus as a new model in the Pura 90 series. Positioned between the Pura 90 and the Pura 90 Pro, this device upholds the Pura series' focus on photography by incorporating a 1-inch main sensor and an adjustable aperture system.
The device’s camera system features a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor and an adjustable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0. It is paired with a 48MP telephoto camera—supporting up to 4x optical zoom—and a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, Huawei has included a 13MP ultra-wide front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus support.
The Pura 90 Plus is powered by the Kirin 9025 chip, which reportedly offers a 20% performance boost over the Kirin 9020. However, the true capabilities of this chip can only be fully assessed through comprehensive real-world usage and benchmark testing. The device also sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ (2848 × 1276 pixels) LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass.
Huawei has retained several premium features, including an IP68/IP69 rating, satellite connectivity support, and the HarmonyOS 7 operating system. The device is equipped with a 5,700mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. In China, the Pura 90 Plus starts at RMB 5,499 (~RM 3,353) for the base model.
