Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo 2 Launched with a Larger Screen and New Lens

Fujifilm has announced the Instax Mini Evo 2, the new generation of its hybrid instant camera, following the original Mini Evo model first launched in 2021. In terms of design, the camera retains the identity of its predecessor, though it incorporates several hardware upgrades to enhance the user experience.

The most notable improvement is found in the rear display. The Instax Mini Evo 2 now features a 4.5-inch touchscreen—a significant increase from the 3-inch screen on the previous model. The camera also utilizes a new sensor paired with a 21mm f/2.0 lens, which offers a wider field of view, allowing more subjects to be captured within a single frame.

Additionally, it includes an "Expanded View" function, which helps users compose their shots more accurately before printing. Fujifilm has also introduced the "Instax Immersive Movie" feature, enabling the recording of short video clips prior to taking a photo. The camera offers faster printing—taking approximately 14 seconds—while retaining existing features such as film and lens effects, a macro mode, and support for the Instax app.

The Instax Mini Evo 2 will be priced at US$289 (~RM1,173). At this time, Fujifilm has not yet shared details regarding its availability in the Malaysian market.
