Coocaa Presents Coolita OS, To Replace Android TV?

Coocaa officially introduces Coolita OS, this is a homemade operating system to be installed on television sets. To replace the Android TV that has been used so far?

When talking to the media in Southeast Asia recently, the Coocaa team denied this. The lineup of televisions will still run Android TV, but for entry-level televisions it will be provided with Coolita.

Edwin Wen, Product Manager of Coocaa, explained that Coolita is a Lite WebOS based on the Linux Kernel. Offers smooth performance even if the TV set is powered by 512 GB RAM.

"Coolita OS offers a light and smooth Smart TV experience," he said, Wednesday (1/9/2021).

Coolita OS has a simple and clean appearance like the current Smart TV operating system. It has a half-screen pop-up menu to provide a distraction-free viewing experience.

In the top menu there are recommendations for shows that users can watch via CC Plus. While the menu below contains a row of installed applications, one of which is YouTube.

There are a number of features included in Coolita OS. There is a Game Mode which supports low latency of less than 20ms.

Users can activate this mode when they are connected to an external game console via HDMI or join cloud gaming. When Game Mode is on, it can reduce motion blur in high-speed moving images, providing a smooth gaming experience.

Combined with Eye Protection mode which provides a comfortable low-blue-light display. Don't miss the CC Cast feature to project content from your Android device to your TV screen, from photos to videos.

The OS is equipped with real-time data reminders so users can easily monitor and manage data usage, whether watching TV shows and movies, or playing online games. Users are promised to be able to adjust the clarity of images and videos in applications such as YouTube according to the status of your network connection.

Coolita OS can already be enjoyed in the Southeast Asian market through the Coocaa S3U television which was launched at the same time.
