Google is working on two folding screen phones, here are the leaks

Google is said to be working on a Pixel phone with a second foldable or foldable screen, after previously being said to be working on a foldable phone codenamed 'Passport'.

This second foldable phone is codenamed 'Jumbojack', which is found in the code line in Android 12.

Based on existing leaks, Jumbojack will have two screens, and one of them will turn off when the phone is folded. With this information, it means that this Google foldable phone will have a design similar to the Samsung foldable, which combines two screens, one large and one small.

However, the screen size in Jumbojack is not yet known. Likewise with the design of the cellphone used, whether it will be like the Z Fold or like the Z Flip. Likewise with the launch time which is not yet known.

Meanwhile, a foldable phone with a Passport code that had previously been circulated, according to Evan Blass, will still be released before 2021 ends. There are also those who think that Jumbojack is just a prototype to help develop foldable phones.

That is, for example, for software development, such as the development of multitasking functions on Android for foldable phones. But still, its appearance shows Google's seriousness in working on foldable phones to accompany the regular Pixel series, such as the Pixel 6 which will be released in the near future.

Previously reported, Samsung Display will start producing foldable OLED screens for Google, Vivo, and Xiaomi in October. Foldable screen phones from these three vendors are expected to be showcased in the fourth quarter of 2021.

This Google foldable phone is estimated to measure 7.6 inches and will fold inwards. While the Vivo foldable screen phone will carry a main screen measuring 8 inches and a second screen on the outside measuring 6.5 inches.

Google has long been rumored to be launching a folding screen phone. In 2019, they issued a patent for the folding screen and claimed to have developed a prototype.

When the Android 12 beta launched last month, 9to5Google also found the code for its foldable phone, 'Passport'. This name appears in the code on Android 12, along with other codes for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 5G.
