iPhone 13 Pro Max is rewarded with the best screen cellphone

Even though it has just been released, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has already been rewarded. DisplayMate got this new Apple device as a cellphone with the best screen with an A + value.

Reporting from GSM Arena, Thursday (30/9/2021) every iPhone 13 Pro Max screen has been calibrated at the factory for color accuracy and contrast. This phone supports both sRGB and DCI-P3 content, and renders both with near-perfect accuracy.

The screen prints 0.5 Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD) for both formats (a value less than 1 means you cannot see the difference with the naked eye).

Color rendering accuracy and intensity scale are not affected by image content, i.e. with different Average Picture Levels (APL). With auto-brightness enabled and full white screen (APL 100%), the display puts out 1,051 nits for the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut. While the automatic brightness from above is 846 nits.

But that's not all, the iPhone 13 Pro Max also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision content. Peak brightness for HDR content reaches 1,200 nits. The screen reflects only 4.6% of incoming light, the lowest measured by DisplayMate so far. In addition, True Tone mode adjusts the white point and color balance of the screen depending on the ambient light.

It can be said that Apple made a significant upgrade to the iPhone 13 Pro series screen from the previous generation. The technology giant from Cupertino has finally equipped its new phone with an LPTO screen that automatically adjusts the refresh rate from 10 to 120 Hz depending on the type of content being displayed.

With the crowning of the iPhone 13 Pro Max as the HP with the best screen at this time, of course, Apple must thank Samsung. Because the Korean company is said to be the supplier of the LPTO OLED screen used by the iPhone 13 Pro Max. But next year, LG will be the supplier of the LTPO OLED screen for the iPhone 14 series.
