iPhone 13 Will Come with 1TB Internal Memory, 64GB Version Eliminated

The iPhone 13 will launch tomorrow night, but the leaks are still popping up. The latest leak says that this Apple flagship phone will come with up to 1TB of internal memory.

This leak comes from specialist Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who supports the previous rumors. If these rumors are true, then this is the first time Apple has offered an iPhone with up to 1TB of internal memory.

Kuo said the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will come in four configuration options, namely 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. For comparison, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max come in three options, namely 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be available in three options namely 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. This means that Apple will remove the 64GB internal memory option for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.

In comparison, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini come with a choice of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of internal memory.

Kuo also warned that iPhone 13 shipments could be affected by component shortages. But he still estimates that iPhone 13 shipments in 2021 could increase by more than 10% year-on-year when compared to the iPhone 12.

In his report to investors, Kuo also expects Apple to introduce the AirPods 3 with a new design at tomorrow's launch event. But Apple will likely continue to sell AirPods 2 as an alternative option for customers.

Apple itself has distributed invitations to an event titled 'California Streaming' on September 14. This event is believed to be the moment of the birth of the iPhone 13 series and several other superior Apple products.

Because it is still overshadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event which took place on Wednesday (15/9/2021) will be broadcast online. Available on Apple.com, Apple TV or Apple's YouTube channel.
