Overthrow Jeff Bezos, World's Richest Elon Musk

Jeff Bezos has long been perched on the first position of the richest person in the world. But now, he has to give up his throne to Elon Musk, his current main competitor as the richest man in the universe.

In the latest Forbes list, Elon Musk has a net worth of USD 200.4 billion. Bezos overtook with USD 193.1 billion. The next sequence is the CEO of Louis Vuitton Bernard Arnault, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are ranked fifth.

Musk's rise in wealth is related to the rise in shares of Tesla, the electric car company he leads. Musk owns about a fifth of Tesla's stock. In 2020 alone, Tesla's stock soared by about 720%.

Musk, as it is known, also leads SpaceX, which is increasingly valued. In its most recent estimate in February, SpaceX was estimated to be worth $74 billion.

Since most of the calculations of the richest people are based on the movement of their respective companies' shares, it is very likely that Bezos or others will soon overtake Elon Musk. But at the moment, Musk is the richest in the world according to Forbes.

Elon Musk and Bezos himself seem to still be getting along. While Bezos has congratulated SpaceX on the success of SpaceX's Inspiration4 mission, Musk has again attacked him.

Elon Musk is apparently still not happy to see Jeff Bezos and Blue Origin suing NASA and trying to stop the development of the SpaceX space project. The SpaceX and Tesla boss has a special message for Bezos and Blue Origin.

"He's got to put in a lot more effort to get into orbit than to file a lawsuit," Musk said in an interview with Kara Swisher at the Code Conference, as quoted by Cnet, Wednesday (29/9/2021).

"Lawsuits can't get you to the Moon, no matter how good your lawyer is," Musk continued.
