Samsung's Latest Galaxy Watch Can Walkie Talkie

Samsung has released the Walkie Talkie application for its latest Galaxy Watch series devices, namely the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic.

The app allows users to have push-to-talk conversations with each other using a wearable device without having to make a call.

This app was first discovered by XDA-Developers and revealed that if this feature only works for the latest Galaxy Watch devices this means the previous generation does not support the Walkie Talkie feature.

This Walkie Talkie feature is similar to Apple where in 2018 Apple has a similar feature to the Apple Watch with the WatchOS 5 operating system.

But the difference is that the push-to-talk walkie talkie feature on Apple only allows two people to communicate at once. Whereas in Samsung it can be done by two or more users.

That is, as long as users can find enough people using the Wear OS 3-based Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic that only two devices are currently listed as compatible with the app on its Play Store listing.

To be able to use this feature, the user must be signed in to a Samsung account on the phone connected to the watch.

Samsung also recommends using and running apps for the first time when the watch is connected to a smartphone.

After that, users can create channels for conversations, connect to nearby friends' watches, and talk by pressing the large microphone button in the center of the screen. Users can also disable this feature at any time.
