Sonic Dash Mobile Game Reach 500 Million Downloads, How Much?

Sega announced, the mobile game that it worked on with HARDlight, entitled Sonic Dash, touched 500 million downloads. Its contribution also comes through the profit it generates, reaching USD 10 million as of July 2020.

"500 million downloads! A big thank you to everyone, who has played #SonicDash for years. For helping us achieve this incredible achievement! #Sonic30th," wrote Sega.

In order to celebrate, the developer also held a special event in the game. Although it is not known what HARDlight will do with the blue hedgehog later.

Sonic Dash is a mobile game, which can be enjoyed on both Android and iOS. This game was launched in 2013 and has been around for seven years until now.

Most likely, the updates that the developer continues to make, become his own attraction for his fans. So, players can enjoy the game without any major disturbances.

It could be said, Sonic Dash, is their game, which managed to contribute the most revenue, than all the previous Sonic games combined.

Even so, despite all that, this beloved hedgehog adventure, remains a boon for Sega as a whole. Like its classmates, Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom, which was released in 2015, also caught the attention of many gamers and achieved its own success.

Carrying the endless runner genre, the game mechanics are quite simple. Players only need to swipe right, left, up and down to control the blue hedgehog.

The objective is to collect gold rings and save as many birds as possible. Plus, it reaches the furthest distance of all players who have also played Sonic Dash.

Enthusiasm was also shown by fans, by giving this game a very good rating. Sonic Dash itself gets 4.6/5 of 5 million reviews on the Google Play Store.
