YouTube Music App Launches to Legacy Wear OS Smartwatches

YouTube Music is now available on the latest Wear OS smartwatch device, namely Wear OS 3. The presence of this application makes it easier for users to listen to YouTube Music through their watch.

However, some time ago this application was only available on the Galaxy Watch 4 Series, the first smartwatch from Samsung and Google collaboration that uses the Wear OS 3 operating system.

But now YouTube Music will be present on other Wear OS devices not only on Wear OS 3 but also YouTube Music will be present on the older version of Wear OS namely Wear OS 2.

Some smartwatch brands with Wear OS such as Fossil, Michael Kors and Mobvoi are receiving updates to support the YouTube Music app starting this week.

Applications available through the Google Play Store will be even more smartwatches with WearOS that support this application at the end of this year.

For YouTube Music Premium subscribers, users can download their favorite songs and play them offline without any ads. In addition, users can also leave the phone at home and continue to listen to music while exercising or walking.

This app includes a Smart Downloads feature which can update the songs on the device when connected to WiFi.

Google says YouTube Premium subscribers can listen to more than 80 million songs and thousands of playlists from their wearables.
