64% of Apple Fanboys Think iPhone 13 Is Disappointing

iPhone 13 launched with an upgrade that was not so significant when compared to the iPhone 12. Apparently the lack of upgrades on the iPhone 13 made many Apple fanboys disappointed and not interested in this phone.

This was revealed from a survey conducted by the SellCell site on September 23 to 30, 2021. To 5,000 iPhone users aged 18 years and over in the United States, SellCell asked their opinion about the iPhone 13 that had just launched.

As a result, 64% of users said the iPhone 13 line was 'not very attractive' and 'not interesting at all'. 21.5% said the iPhone 13 was 'somewhat attractive', and only 14.4% said 'very attractive'.

Of all respondents, only 23.3% intend to buy an iPhone 13. Whereas a survey conducted by SellCell two months ago before the launch of the iPhone 13 found 43.7% of respondents intend to buy an iPhone 13.

Of the 23.3% of users who intend to change their cellphone to the iPhone 13, 42.5% of them choose the iPhone 13 Pro. After that, there is the iPhone 13 Pro Max which is targeted by 26.3% of users, followed by the standard iPhone 13 which is of interest to 22% of users.

While the iPhone 13 mini is only targeted by 9.2% of users. Just like the iPhone 12 mini, Apple's smallest phone is indeed less attractive to consumers. Even the iPhone 13 mini reportedly will be the last mini phone released by Apple.

The main reason iPhone owners want to upgrade to the iPhone 13 is the 120Hz ProMotion display. The iPhone 13 is indeed the first iPhone to have a 120Hz screen, and this feature is the reason 34.1% of respondents buy the iPhone 13.

Meanwhile, 25.3% of respondents said they intend to buy the iPhone 13 because of its longer battery life, and 15.7% said they had no particular reason to buy a new phone, as quoted from MacRumors, Wednesday (6/10/2021). .

SellCell also asked the reason why iPhone users were reluctant to buy the iPhone 13. The biggest reason was the absence of a Touch ID fingerprint sensor which was chosen by 29.3% of respondents.

19.5% of respondents said they had no intention of buying an iPhone 13 because there were no really interesting new features, and 12.1% said they didn't need a new phone. Other reasons include the absence of an always-on display, a notch-free design, no 120Hz refresh rate in the standard model, and the absence of a USB-C port.

Of all respondents who chose not to buy the iPhone 13, 36.8% of them said they were waiting for the arrival of the iPhone 14. While 16.1% chose to move to an Android phone, where 45.1% of respondents planned to buy a Google phone, and 41, 8% plan to buy a Samsung phone.
