Among Us Has a New Character, More Dangerous than Impostor

Innersloth announced a new role for Impostor in Among Us, named Shapeshifter. His ability is very unique, because it can resemble Crewmates in the game.

"Shapeshifters can change their appearance and disguise themselves as other Crewmates. But be careful, disguises don't last forever and can leave evidence behind," wrote an Innersloth insider Victoria T.

This new cheater ability, can choose any surviving Crewmates to copy their form, from name, color and skin. The change duration can be set in the lobby settings before the game starts.

For shape changes made, can be seen by other players. Provided it was within their line of sight and left evidence as a signal, that there was a Shapeshifter that had just evolved.

However, during the discussion to determine who the suspect is, this new role will emerge as his true self. So this is quite confusing for you, because he can trick Crewmates into accusing other innocent players.

Similar to other roles, gamers can customize the number and odds of a cheater who has the Shapeshift ability. For example only 2 Shapeshifters are available, with a 30% chance of their role appearing.

This announcement has actually been made by Innersloth, regarding the development of the gameplay going forward. But they are still keeping a secret, how many new roles will emerge.

"We previously did not have time to do that. But thanks to the success of this game, maybe now we will. So we hope you enjoy what is presented," wrote Victoria.

Meanwhile, Among Us itself can be played on mobile, namely Android and iOS, then PC and Nintendo Switch. While it is only available on PlayStation and Xbox, on December 14 next.
