Apple Finally Allows Users to Leave Reviews on the App Store

For years Apple allowed its users to re-download many of the default apps from the App Store that were previously deleted. Unfortunately, users are not given the option to give a rating or review of the application used.

This is of course very different from application stores such as the Google Play Store, where users before downloading can see first whether the application is good or not. Now, iPhone and iPad users can finally give ratings for apps on the App Store.

This feature seems to have been released recently as it has been seen in several apps that have received ratings from users.

Previously, Apple's default applications had a small rating and did not have positive reviews from users, such as the Files, Apple Maps, and Home applications which had a rating of 3 to 3.5 out of a total of 5 stars. Even the Apple News and Podcasts apps get a rating of 2.

This seems to be because there are few users to provide reviews and ratings, so the numbers are far from non-Apple applications.

Call it popular applications such as Facebook, TikTok, to Gmail, have high ratings because many have given ratings.

Apple said in January there were more than one billion iPhones in active use. It also means that Apple's apps rank significantly less than well-known apps like Gmail (347K), Facebook (1.1M), and TikTok (10M).

With the presence of rating features and reviews from users, it will certainly make it easier for users or developers to know how the application is performing.
