WhatsApp actually has many features, but not all of them are known to many users. So here's an important but useful trick that you should try.
1. Change the pencil size
WhatsApp provides a pencil feature that allows us to doodle on the image to be sent. We can change the desired color.
But not many know that we can change the size of the pencil. The method is as follows:
- When sending a picture on WhatsApp, press the Pencil icon on the top right
- Press and hold the desired color
- Then move your finger to the right to increase the size of the pencil stroke, vice versa to the left to reduce it
2. Change Font
Like Instagram Stories, we can change the typeface when we want to write on the image to be sent. The method is as follows:
- Put text on the picture
- Highlight the text, then press the T icon at the top
- Every time we press the icon the font will change
3. Hear Audio Messages in the Crowd
Ever get an audio message on WhatsApp when you're in a crowd? Because you don't use a headset, you will feel reluctant to play it for fear of being heard by people.
But there's actually a handy way to still be able to hear those audio messages without worrying about being heard by those around you. The method is as follows:
- Press play on audio message
- Then stick the phone to your ear, like you're on a call as usual
4. Ringtones Per Contact
You can set different ringtones per contact. So you can find out who sent messages and calls.
The method is as follows:
- On Android users, open the chat of the person you want to change the tone of. Tap the contact at the top, then click Custom Notification. Check the Use Custom Notification, then change the Notification Tone and Ringtone
- On iPhone users, open the chat of the person you want to change the ringtone for. Tap the contacts at the top, then click Wallpaper & Sound. At the bottom of Custom Tone, select the desired tone.
5. Pin Chat
So that you don't miss the chat with the most important people in your life because of the many incoming messages, it's a good idea to pin the contact. So that the position is always on top and this can be applied to WhatsApp groups.
The method is as follows:
iOS: Chat > Swipe left to right > Chat Pin.
Android: Long press the chat > Press the pin at the top of the screen.
