Elon Musk apparently has not been satisfied with Tesla's success so far. He wants to make another big breakthrough in the world of transportation, namely supersonic electric jet aircraft. But it seems that the man born in South Africa does not feel he is able to do it now.
Such aircraft will, among other things, be embedded with vertical take-off and landing technology or the term vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) to reach altitude.
Then powered by batteries, the estimated speed can penetrate 1,236 kilometers per hour. Elon Musk claimed to want to make the next generation of aircraft, but at this time he is too busy with his work in the various companies he leads.
Naturally, Tesla and SpaceX are currently really busy with high-value projects and developing various kinds of breakthrough technologies. Not to mention that Musk is still in charge of Neuralink and The Boring Company. Not only that, it must be remembered that he is the father of six children.
"I really, really want to build an electric supersonic VOTL plane, but adding more work will make my brain explode," he wrote in a tweet on his personal Twitter.
This is not the first time he has shown ambition to create such a futuristic plane. Some time ago, he said something similar in a podcast interview with Joe Rogan.
"I have a design for an airplane. The interesting thing to do is a kind of supersonic jet that can land and take off vertically," he said at the time. But for now, he couldn't do it probably because he really didn't have any free time.
